Richard Davis Named Sr. VP at Rampart Investment Management
Rampart Investment Management has appointed Richard R. Davis, CFA as senior vice president of sales and consultant relations, bringing more than 15 years of financial services sales and research experience to the firm. Dick will spearhead the company’s business development program, focusing on institutional and high net worth investors. He will also focus on building and enhancing Rampart’s relationship with consultants and partners. A Wellesley resident, Dick received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BA in economics from Hamilton College.       read more...

"Mama Said There’d Be Days Like This"

'The Shirelles' Shirley Alston Reeves Rocks the Greenway
On a sun-splashed Greenway at noon on July 14, The Chiofaro Company’s President, Don Chiofaro, welcomed International Place tenants – as well as guests from the Wharf District, Harbor Towers and North End – as he introduced Shirley Alston Reeves, lead singer of the legendary Shirelles, rock ’n’ roll’s first “girl band.” With the cooperation of the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy (an International Place tenant), the building ushered in summer with Shirley’s exciting performance in our new front yard. Shirley and her band rocked the picnicking audience on the Greenway; they sang classic doo-wop numbers from the ’50’s and ’60’s, including The Shirelles’ own hits, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” “Mama Said,” and “Baby, It’s You.” This outdoor venue – the first tenant event held on the Greenway – took full advantage of summer sunshine and breezes, and lent an inclusive, community atmosphere to the event.

Massachusetts Horticultural Society Calls for Volunteers: International Place Tenants Answer
This summer, International Place tenants dropped their work and picked up trowels to assist MHS in beautifying Boston’s most highly anticipated public park. Employees of Au Bon Pain, Eaton Vance, the McCormack Firm and The Chiofaro Company migrated out of their offices to the Greenway Gardens on the Dewey Square Park parcels to get their hands dirty in the summer sun.

Marc LaCasse of The McCormack Firm, commented, “The Greenway has an immediate impact on us because we can see it from our offices, and we take great pride in having it available to us as a public park. When Diane Valle asked us to participate, we were eager to help out with planting and maintenance.      read more...
